Silver Moon is an Ovni 370, a high-end, aluminum expedition sailboat built by the French shipyard Alubat. Designed for blue-water cruising and extreme latitudes, this model has a lifting centerboard, which allows it to navigate ultra-shallow waters and even beached safely. Widely regarded in the sailing community as one of the safest and most capable ocean explorers.

Owner's Story
Silver Moon was purchased new:
Well kitted out Ovni 370 set up for long-distance offshore cruising, featuring tons of solar and top of the line 190 ltrs of Domentix flexible fridge/freezer space plus the Isotherm fridge. She has more refrigeration than most boats twice her size. She has both heat and AC and in the 2 years we've owned her, we've never needed to run the generator. The watermaker produces 180 ltrs an hour, allowing us to top off water daily in about 30 min. You can enjoy daily Hot Fresh Water showers and a fresh water toilet that has none the "boat stink" that many boats with salt water toilets have.
The Current owner is a contractor specializing in luxury homes and a former race car driver, who performed many of the upgrades. Both he and his wife are perfectionists, and many of the cruisers who have come aboard to check out the boat and systems have commented on how well everything is put together, and how neat and easily accessible everything on the boat is.
With over 16,000 miles under her Silver Moon is truly set up for long term cruising for a couple. She has been tested and has come through shining. You won't have any of the "New Boat" issues, as those have all been sorted out. Her hard dodger and extensive canvas and shade protection keep the crew protected from sun and bad weather both at anchor or underway. Her upgraded hard stainless steel top rail makes it safer and easier for crew to go on deck while underway. She has been sailed double handed the entire time, and has 4 flexible sleeping berths for both crew members.
The custom dinghy davits are a tremendous addition to her hull, they allow you to see over the dinghy, while safely keeping the dinghy from swinging and well above breaking waves in huge seas.
The owners enjoyed often using the grill off the back attached to the dinghy davits. This allows for "no mess" grilling and plenty of space to entertain guests in either the cockpit or inside the salon.
Having sailed her from France across the Atlantic, up and down the Caribbean, and across the Pacific, she is set up to go anywhere, incuding to high latitudes. She has so many parts and tools, other cruisers call her the "Silver Moon Hardware Store".
