Thank you very much for all. It was a real pleasure to work with all of you. Remember, you have a home in Switzerland and if you plan to fly to Europe (maybe to Alubat factory or Paris Boat Show) inform us and we will be pleased to meet you.
Just a note to say thanks for a job well done. If I need a broker in order to buy or sell a boat in the future, I plan to contact you. Also, If you run across someone else who is interested in buying or selling a boat, I’ll not hesitate to recommend you and SouthEast Sailing & Yachts, Inc.
I have been a sailing enthusiast all my life – but always as a crew member and not a captain! And always on someone else’s boat!!
This past year I felt it was time to change that pattern and I began the difficult process of searching for that “perfect sailboat”.
As with most “tech savvy” buyers I was able to bring the universe of available sail boats to my computer screen. With the aid of my trusty Google search engine I was able to begin the process of looking fo that “perfect boat”. Unfortunately, as a first time buyer, I was quickly overwhelmed by the incredible diversity of boats currently available for sale. However, with some additional research I was able to begin the process of narrowing my search.
Based on a solid reputation as a boat builder, I made the decision to purchase a Hunter brand. As I wanted the option to “live aboard” the boat, but be able to solo sail, I chose to focus on 46′ boats.
As my search criteria narrowed the field of boats I was directed to the web-site for SouthEast Sailing & Yachts. On their page I found the listing for a 2004 Hunter 466 that appeared to be a perfect match!
Upon contacting SES-Y I was introduced to Annie Beasley. Over the course of the next three months Annie navigated a successful course through the boat evaluation and inspection phase, including assisting me in selecting a qualified boat surveyor. Every step of the way Annie was in constant communication with myself as well as the Seller – making sure that the negotiations went smoothly and facilitating any request that I put forth. I must admit that it was the near-continuous personal assistance of SES-Y that ultimately led to the successful conclusion of this journey.
Last week, after Annie assisted me in navigating the closing process, I picked my new boat up in Daytona Beach and sailed her down to the Keys and back up to her new home port in St Pete Beach. The boat sailed flawlessly!
I would like to thank the crew at SoutEast Sailing & Yachts for making this first time buying experience go so smoothly. I would certainly engage their services again in the future – both in buying another boat and selling this boat!
Great folks to work with on buying a boat!
